you guys outdate me by a few moons, but I am sure enjoying reading this thread...this kind of nostalgia and history is what makes tiger football great...thanks to all who post here...

I agree, and that's what empowers our tradition. When USC came to TS, we actually BELIEVED that we could win, and if you would have asked that from just about any "expert" in the country at the time, you would have gotten a chuckle. We did beat their arse, and we did get screwed on a couple of late penalties that kept them in the game. Doesn't matter now, but it's one of the greatest games in our history, theirs too, and just another example of the hazard of playing us in TS.
