the mistakes and blunders that the Head coach has made year after year. He couldn't win a NC with more NFL talent then any team in the country (when you combine the last 2 years) Why do you expect that to change now?

Bingo. Didn't SI (Staples included) predict LSU to be a big flop that season (and the following season too)?

College football mavens.

T shirts being printed as we speak.

Also,SI leaving LSU off BCS contenders list is like leaving Cindy Crawford off the all time babe list.

And they should based upon losses to draft or graduation and schedule.

But, LSU can certainly get in to equation by winning the SEC West, which, could include one loss to East or two lossed to East.

It would be a great season to finish 3rd in the West with our schedule for next year.

It may be a great season to finish 3rd in the West for most schools, but not for LSU. We could never be content with that.

I hope I don't lose any sleep over Sports Illustrated BCS comments. Bring on the swimsuit issue to wake me up in case!

Why wouldn't they? Since when is a team in the mid-teens a 'contender'?

Since when has LSU had an offense that finishes the season above average overall? (rhetorical)

LSU lost a lot of talent.

Being great as LSU is, they will be back in the hunt sooner than later.

But now they have to prove they're better than the team that lost to Clemson, that almost lost to OM and the failship, and that also struggled with Towson St.

LSU 2012 was not LSU2011 no matter what the pre-season hype and the positgers had to say about it.

The national sports media complex, worthless though it is, can sometimes be right and this is one of those times.

If LSU contends for anything this year (and I hope they do) it will be as a dark horse.

In my 26 years as an LSU fan, other than the aberration that was 2011, the 'under the radar' Tiger teams seem to do better... ie when they have something to prove or a chip on their shoulders.

Didn't read through all the posts but from what I did read, I dimiss them most as idiots. We got white pussy, black pussy, yellow pussy, green pussy... Oops wrong line of that- "From Dusk Til Dawn". Great movie!

Anyway, I will wait to see what happens for our Tigers. I won't tear our team down with the idiotic posts I have seen here. We have a new OC and new players. Let's see how it plays out before the nega-Tigers spread the end of the LSU Tigers run at the National Championship. The Championship is won on the field by our players not armchair quarterbacks guessing at what the future will be. We will still be a force in the SEC and by default be in the college football nation's eyes as a force <PERIOD>

Having the toughest schedule in the SEC and losing to Clemson in our last game will do that to you. As always I am hoping for an undefeated season, but realistically I am expecting 3 losses.

After the way we finished up against Clemson, I'm not ready to proclaim us ready for another title run.

We loss to Alabama in the last minute of the game.

We were one minute away from winning the west, going to the SECCG, and having a shot at the BCSCG.

Yeah, we had a really down year.

Some who post here must need help to button their shirt.
