The Job was another Dennis Leary series, but it only lasted a season or two.
I thought the Shield was on there. Do you have HBO Go? If so, watch the Wire. One of the best series ever.
Southland is another good show.

Don't know about something similar to Rescue Me, but The Wire and Battlestar Galactica are really good.
