A surprise cut by the Vikings, the 36-year-old Winfield is another target for the Washington Redskins. Winfield's agent has floated the Saints as a good fit.
Keenan Lewis, CB Lewis tweeted Wednesday morning that he was visiting the Saints. A return to the Steelers is unlikely.
Asomugha and the San Francisco 49ers are said to have mutual interest. He's also been connected to the Saints.

Would be happy with either of these guys (Lewis and Nnamdi).
Lewis is younger and had a break out season, but Nnamdi is a better proven scheme fit for man coverage.

I'd rank my excitement with potential FA CB signings as:
1) Grimes: longshot, will most certainly sign short deal, young and very good player, hurts Falcons
2) Lewis: maybe not the best CB available, but one of the best longterm options, which is important with Greer aging and PRob sucking + soon to be FA, NOLA boy so probably would be most excited to be here
3) Asomugha: best potential, possible bust
4) Pacman: risky in NOLA, but he graded out as second best FA CB by PFF and his good play actually stood out in the 2 or 3 games I saw him play last season, which is tough to do
5)Terence Newman/Trufant/Winfield: talented aging players with maybe one year left in the tank

My gut feeling is that Lewis will sign with the Saints.
If this does in fact happen, I wonder if they look for safety help as well.
In a perfect world, Ed Reed.

it seems like Grimes would have a bigger price tag seeing how the Bucs are the only team "reported" to be shopping him. I mean we know the Bucs have plenty of cash to go around anyway.
Didn't really know much about Lewis until this past season and still don't really. I noticed he had good game when they played the Giants. A buddy that I work with is a huge Steelers fan and he thought that Lewis really emerged this year. Its funny too because he always goes on about how he doesn't like their corners but now that he seems to like one, he'll probably be gone. I hope we get him
Don't really know what to think about Asomugha. I've heard some talk about how things were never really stable when he was in Philly and how he was in the wrong scheme. The scheme part makes more since but I'm not buying that other crap for a second. Oakland is as unstable as it gets and he played really well out there. I'd like to see him play for the Saints though I guess. He is more familiar with what Rob Ryan likes to do more than anyone else we could be looking at.

He'll never be a Jason David because no one will give him a long term deal, but Asomugha could be a complete waste of $4-5m precious cap dollars or the best $4-5m spent on a non-rookie in a very long time.
Given their assload of draft picks, I think we (and any team that wants to win the NFC) has to either hit on a FA risk, kickass in this draft, or both (assuming Kaepernick doesn't regress, though a declining Justin Smith could completely change that D since Aldon Smith's play really fell off with him out, basically taking out 2 of their top 3 defensive players in one shot).

Don't think Lewis will leave the Saints visit tomorrow without signing a contract and I still think we'll be in play for Nnamdi somehow after it.
I don't think the Saints will go after a safety this offseason, they kept Harper/Jenkins intact and Quddus is a solid option.

What about Tracey Porter did he resign with Denver?
How about Kerry Williams from baltimore?

My ideal situation. Lewis in the long run > Nnamdi

Lewis would be a stellar signing when you think about the price.

Sign Reed and move Jenkins down to CB.
Greer, Jenkins, Robinson and White as our top 4 corners.
If we sign Lewis, add him to the mix there.
