A big reason is the same I gave for no blacks in baseball. The white kids don't play youth basketball anymore. The explosing of "travel baseball" has killed youth basketball for the white kids. I have kids at a young age, and there are way too many white families sucked into paying thousands of dollars YEAR AROUND instead of lettin the kids play other sports.
Every athletic white kid now is a superstar baseball player. At least in their parents eyes.

I agree with this. We have been playing select ball for a long time and have noticed there are a handful of black players for every 200 hundred total players.
