For BBQ, I'd head to Raleigh and go to The Pit

Hog Heaven is supposedly the best BBQ in Durham. I hate vinegar based BBQ, though, so I've never really cared for the place.
Best burger in town is Bull City Burger and Brewery; also has a good beer selection, they brew their own.
Tyler's Taproom has a massive beer selection and above average bar food style eats.
Best Mexican is probably Los Comales or El Cuscatleco, both are hole in the wall style places. Best sushi, probably Yamazushi but it's less casual. If you're looking for anything else just say it and I'll help you out.

Glad you enjoyed it, I have friends that swear by it, it's just not really my thing. And like I said, if you decide you're looking for something specific just call it out and I'll point you towards it
