Not even close. 84% of his shots are assisted and most of them (83%) are jump shots. LINK Good shooters do have value, but you generally have to be a creator on offense to get max money.

I appreciate you responding by linking actual stats. However, according to the same website, 74% of Gordon's shots are jumpers, so thats not a relevant comparison. 84% is very high for assissted shots, but that has a lot to do with the system the Thompson plays in, which is an effective top-10 offensive team.

To say it is out of the question that KT eventually signs a max deal is pretty naive IMO. Gordon just signed one with very similar production as KT when Gordon was in his 2nd year (Gordon also hasn't improved since then).

Oh and I heard that Klay Thompson can also play in games two nights in a row, which is a plus in the NBA.
