He requested his release today publicly and wants it now and not in 4 days when his 12 million dollar salary becomes guarenteed

Yeah, I just saw that on ESPN.com.
Denver Broncos also released DJ Williams (saving 6 million $) and Caleb Haynie (saving 1.5 million $) today. With Elvis Dumervil's potential release, the team could save another 12 million $ if I'm not mistaken (19.5 million $ in all).
Seems like we're about to make a move for some serious free agents.
It's just idiotic to not be able to get something for Elvis Dumervil... He'll be very wanted in free agency.
