I guess it allows them to diversify themselves in recruiting. Duke isn't exactly in play for top end talent on a yearly basis. By going after specific types of players to fill needs in this offense, it may be a positive.

Now, as far as translation to wins on the field.. that's a different story.

Yeah...Cutcliffe has apparently been planning to switch to this offense since he got there and has been quietly recruiting players to fit into this offense. That offense could consistently work in a conference like the ACC. It's Duke. They're happy with 6 wins. An offense like this, if run right, would give that to them consistently.

I just know this particular offense is freaking old. Alabama ran it when Wallace Wade was here winning Rose Bowls in the 20s.
