Josh Homme won the rights to the Kyuss name so they're going as Vista Chino now

I love josh Homme, but that is a dick move. I need to learn more about this.

They sound damn near like Kyuss, maybe slightly less 'stoned' in sound. I was expecting more but it isn't terrible

Dickish in a way but good in another. I've seen some once arena act type bands touring under the former band name with as little as only the original drummer. Pretty embarrassing and a pretty negative toward the band name IMO. No Homme, Oliveri, & Reeder isn't much of a Kyuss of any sort to me.

There's been some famous band fallouts over name rights. Fogerty vs. the rest of CCR touring as Creedence Clearwater Revisited. At one point YES was touring with only original bass player Chris Squire because he owned the rights. The lead singer, lead guitarist, drummer, & keyboardist toured but couldn't use the YES moniker.

Josh didn't want them touring under the name Kyuss Lives so he sued and won. Nick Oliveri quit Kyuss Lives when the lawsuit was announced. I think Scott Reeder was in the lawsuit with Josh too. Basically Josh and John Garcia hate each other.
