Where in the states do you know of breeds the european blood lines?

German Shepherd Forums

I saw that someone mentioned Rocky Mountain Shepherds and my avatar pic is actually a GSD from that breeder. He was a great dog, but died at 5 due to a freak medical emergency that can sometimes happen to larger dogs. I got him in 2005 so it's been a while but from my own experience I was very satisfied with Rocky Mountain Shepherds and the pup I got from them. Here are a few pictures of him when he was all grown up:

Note the square build that's really evident in the 3rd pic.

So I would say they're worth a look. They also have imports available.

Leerburg Kennels is a great site for information on the breed and training.

Tom288,

Small world. My female came from there. I am the one who told wooly about them. Your dog looked gorgeous. What did he die from, bloating?

Here is my female from RMGSD

Gastric torsion. He was fine one minute and a few hours later he was gone.

Man that sucks. Sorry to hear. My wife actually started talking about getting another puppy the other night. Our male is pure german import who's mom was flown to germany and bred with mittlewest's Marcus. This is him. Weighs 100 lbs
