Read a book about him and how grueling the conditioning practices were under Lombardi and how Lombardi used to get so mad at him because he could never wear out Taylor. Taylor's secret was that he would run as fast and hard as he could and when Lombardi would call up the team after a run, he would let out one long deep exhale (while other players around him were puking their guts up), and that used to get under Lombardi's skin.

The book also talked about how Lombardi low-balled him his salary because he didn't play both sides of the ball. Taylor had to get another job in the offseason. The NFL was MUCH different back then.
