How does that work? It doesn't make sense that, in a 3 way tie, we'd be behind the team we beat and ahead of the team that beat us. Arkansas beat Georgia, so head-to-head would not settle it as we would each be 1-1 against the other two. What are the tiebreakers after head-to-head that would lead to this surprising result? Since you mentioned that the #6 seed is out of reach even though we could end up in a 3 way tie for 6th with Arkie and Tennessee, which also lost to Arkie but beat us, I'm assuming the tiebreakers after head-to-head would also knock us out in that scenario.

ETA: I looked up the old tiebreaker procedure (before last year's expansion), and it looks like the next tiebreaker after head-to-head is winning percentage vs. the #1 seed.

In this case, Arkie would win a 3 way tie with LSU and UGa because they went 1-1 vs. Florida, while LSU went 0-1 and UGa went 0-2. That explains how Arkie wins, but doesn't explain how we get seeded ahead of UGa with the same winning percentage (.000) against Florida and a head-to-head loss to Georgia.

Also, I see now why Tennessee's win knocks us out of the #6 seed. They beat us, so they win a 2 way tie against us. They went 1-0 vs. Florida, so they win a 3 way tie with Arkie and LSU. Georgia went 2-0 vs. Tennessee, so in a 3 way tie among LSU, Tennessee and UGa, or a 4 way tie among Tennessee, Arkie, LSU and UGa, Georgia would win it on head-to-head.

Still, though, what I'm not clear on is, once they determine who wins the highest seed among the tied teams in the above scenarios, how do they break the remaining tie(s) to determine the next highest? Obviously, they must not revert to the 2-team tiebreaker if LSU would be seeded ahead of Georgia after Arkie wins the 3 way tie, so what do they do?

After Arkie is given the highest seed of the three you can use the head to head tie breaker to break a two team tie, which is UGA. If I said that LSU would be ahead of UGA, I believe that I am wrong. I am not sure if 0-1 is better than 0-2. Either way, I see UGA's chances of winning their next two around 5%.

I went back and removed that sccenario because I honestly don't know if 0-1 is better than 0-2 or not. If it is not better than UGA would win that tie breaker. As I said earlier though, I don't see UGA winning both nor do I see Arkansas losing to aTm.
