how well did the class prepare you for the test? where'd you take it?
Very well. As a landman, I was familiar with about 50% of the material, but the 50% that I didn't know, I had a very good working knowledge of it at the end. I took the class at LSUS with Robin Jones. She's been teaching that class for 15+ years, and has prepared a 200 page study guide that she give you before the first class that hits all the high notes of the 500+ page State Study Guide. It was well worth the $349 it cost to take it.
Prepare to spend $1,000 if you want to take the test: $350 for the class, $300 for the books, $200 for the state fees, and about another $100 for misc filing fees. It's a very passable test, but it was definitely easier since I knew some of it already.
