It's a pretty good spot. You have the best of all worlds, as you can see. There's shallower water with channels. White perch use channels.

I've never set yo-yo's this late, at Chicot, so I'm not sure where to suggest you set but they may be moving into shallower water. There, you have a shot either way.

I've fished both North and South and have done well.

Continuing on into the main channel past the spillway, I've caught there too. The channel is deep but also shallow as it moves toward the bank.

Oh and looking at that 2nd picture, on the far end, there's a little channel that takes you back to the right and opens up. I wouldn't fish past where you can see in the pic.

Have seen yo-yo's there at times when I was catching elsewhere but they weren't. Now, if you hang to the right past that point, I've seen some slabs hanging on that side.

If it's warm, be ready to race aligators to your yo-yo's to get your fish off though, seriously.
