Just curious, how did y'all feel about Live Free or Die Hard (the 4th one).

I mean it was totally unrealistic and ridiculous (hacking complicated government websites and security doors in 3 seconds, a fighter pilot ripping through an American city to shoot up a mac truck) but I didn't hate it...

All the other Die Hards felt like they were trying to make a blockbuster and spent some time on it - whether it succeeded or not.

This is like some shitty foreign movie company bought the rights to Die Hard and decided to cash in on the franchise.

I liked it. Not as much as the original three, but I liked it. Thought Timothy Olyphant was alright too. I had zero desire to see the new one. I could tell from the previews that it was a pos

I didn't hate LForDH either. It at least felt like a part of the Die Hard universe, even if it was unrealistic on a much bigger scale than the first 3. I can honestly say I enjoyed the movie, although I've never felt the urge to watch it again like I have the others.

This was just on a completely different plane than the rest of the series.

It was okay. I certainly didn't hate it either but it didn't feel like a "Die Hard" movie where McClane is limited to one setting (Nakatomi in DH1, Dulles Airport in DH2, etc) and suffers realistic injuries through the process of overcoming the terrorists. The action scenes in particular were a bit too farfetched but I still found it to be pretty enjoyable.
