I mean, just, wow. So fricking terrible.

It's like they threw a bunch of deleted scenes from Taken 2 and 2 Fast 2 Furious and tried to edit them together to make some sort of movie with John McClaine saying "I'm on vacation!!!" to splice them all together.

Jeez it makes me really sad to see one of the first great action franchises and characters stoop to this level. Really kind of mad that Bruce Willis agreed to do this.

There was barely any dialogue at all, and it was probably better that way because the few lines they had that tried to explain the mess you were seeing on screen was so bad it made the whole thing even more confusing and frustrating.

To everyone involved in making this, and to myself for paying to see it

I didn't see it, but I heard it sucked arse. I'll wait for it on HBO.

I love the Die Hard series and John McClane but I really doubt I'll ever see this based on what I've heard from it.

I'll quote myself from a previous thread to concur and warn people:

quote:

It's typical action - car chase, explosions and gunplay non-stop - which is fine (I guess) - but the problem is -

- the script might be one of the worst studio stock scripts ever...the dialogue is amazingly bad...Willis spouts the cliche "I'm on Vacation!" at least 4 times during firegights...every actor assumes they can never be injured by any bullet (I know that's par for the course) but this is really bad...every firefight is with a wink and a smile and...to that end...

- Willis seems to understand this movie is a joke and sleepwalks through the entire thing with a hammy/sarcastic grin on his face...and spouts his lines as if he had just received them off camera from the director. It's Steven Segal straight to video territory.

Yeah, I went with a friend to watch it yesterday and was expecting very little, and it still managed to disappoint. The guy who played Bruce's son was flat out terrible. Horrible plot.

Just curious, how did y'all feel about Live Free or Die Hard (the 4th one).

I mean it was totally unrealistic and ridiculous (hacking complicated government websites and security doors in 3 seconds, a fighter pilot ripping through an American city to shoot up a mac truck) but I didn't hate it...

Yeah it was HORRIBLE, and I love the Die hard movies. Just a bunch of action scenes with a little plot in between them
