He is supposed to be this skilled tuna fisherman, therefore, there is an expectation of catching at least a few tuna.

If fished along side Lance enough and I can tell you he's one of the best tuna killers operating in LA. 30 minutes at a spot is ample time for him to realize they weren't there. Shite can and does change out there drastically overnight. Perhaps bad water moved in. He obviously wasn't marking anything on sounder nor were they busting on the surface. No rip to troll, he made the right call turning north and trying to salvage the trip. Could he have moved to another location in the opposite direction of the guy he called? Certainly, but if he would have and came up empty you'd be complaining about the fuel bill and not catching anything at all.

Since you entered this thread, do you mind answering some of the questions in the OP? Is July/August generally a good time to catch tuna? If we weren't set on going to Venice I would definitely give your boat a shot.

On time I went on a Speckled Trout charter out of Venice. I didnt catch a single speck, only white trout and spanish makrel. I did catch an octopus though. True Story

Oh yea, I had a blast, paid my bill, and didnt complain.

you paid for a tuna fishing trip we went tuna fishing you didn't pay for a tuna catching trip because no one offers those. I have never came back empty handed in my life because 99.99% of people understand that you can't catch tuna every day and are happy with loading the boat with other fish. I have given discounts before but when you book a charter you pay for that guys services for the day. I spent the entire day offshore working using excellent bait presentation might I ad. So why shouldn't I get paid I worked. I did my job and no where on my site are anywhere else does it say NO TUNA NO PAY. I know its hard for you to understand and I'm still waiting on the phone call

Thanks for the response.......sorry about the unintelligent that won't stop posting in this thread. I think everyone here understands your position and what occurred doesn't reflect poorly on you, but on him.
