Conex Containers?

I have an opportunity to buy (7) 8x20 conex containers from a Construction Company. They are a little beat up some more than others. What would the OB pay to buy one and have it moved to their camp? I am just trying to get an idea before I make an offer.

1,000-1,200 would be my guess.

Is that including delivery?

20's are more in demand than the 40's...so the price can be up there.
Depending on what Beat Up means this will effect the cost. Do they leak? do the doors close? are they rusted out?
generally you will spend more to move them then you will to buy them.
How far is your camp from the Construction Company. Buying 7 you may be able to cut a decent deal. I would say 8-1000 if they are in decent condition...just for the containers. Trucking will be another ball of wax.

I am buying 6 to sell and 1 for my camp. I have a guy that wants one who also moves them so I am going to work a deal on moving all of them for me.
I think if I asked $1600 a piece including moving them that would be fair. Does that sound about right??

I would say thats fair...but again it will depend on how far they have to be moved. 50 miles vs 250 miles can make a difference.

A little bit. It doesn't get drastic until you get above 250 mi though.

I know in decent shape the 20 footers are running 2000-2500 up here . The 40 footer are in the 3500 -4500 range . I have been pricing them lately for our company . They were a lot cheaper about 2 years ago .

I need to talk to the guy moving them, but I would say that price would be up to 80 miles and then maybe mileage rate would apply after that. I am not sure. They are located around Shreveport right now.
