Honestly they are doing what I wish the Saints would. Cutting overpriced vets, not getting attached, and moving on to the next batch. You have to be ruthless in an NFL front office.

The difference is Abraham was still producing relative to his contract, unlike Will Smith

I wish the Saints would just cut bait already.

I also wouldn't mind John Abraham in a Saints uniform for a year, either.

First thing I thought when I read this. I don't see what's taking so long with Smith. The most he should be offered is his cap hit if he were to be cut, plus the vet minimum. If he doesn't want that, then cut him and move on.
