LSU needs to get off their arse and promote the home finale vs. Ole Miss

LSU may have the worst promotions department in the SEC. They take a football approach to basketball in thinking the program will sell itself. That could have something to do with our AD being from Duke where that's the case. The average person around town has no idea when the next home game is.
People need to email the AD and anyone else important and get them to step their game up. Pack the Pmac used to be a fantastic promotion for the women's team. LSU needs to pull that out for the final home game.
LSU hasn't sold 10,000 tickets for a game this season. That's a joke. Email the AD.

Raises hand. Will be in attendance

Agreed. Can't figure out why they never had a men's pack the pmac. Although it's embarrassing that we even need to go that route.
This team is too fun to watch to only draw 6k

Having an SID besides Kent Lowe might help.

I completely agree!
I also think a CJJ website and weekly videos like they do for football, would be great for fans and recruiting.

This problem existed long before the current AD arrived. Dale Brown was the greatest promoter in the world. Basically LSU never needed to promote basketball from 1972 to 1997.
Neither Brady or Johnson had the ability to promote their product. It's not their fault. LSU knew the men they were hiring. The lack of support for the basketball program is criminal. Honestly, who would want this job other than an alum like Jones.
Considering the amount of money football brings in and the fact that our baseball program actually pays for itself with a small profit, it sucks the way basketball gets treated.

Also, marketing handles getting in the PMAC, not Kent Lowe.

Thank you. Thank you.
I've been trying to get something done about this lately myself, but am now in England 'cause my Dad is really sick.
I do know that the Bball team management themselves are trying to work on a pep rally to promote the SEC tourney.
It's sad they have to do it themselves
I will post more details and contacts tomorrow.

You're probably right, but it's sad that they would have to. The problem with this particular game is that, barring a MAJOR upset, we will be on a 2-game losing streak coming into this game and our SEC tournament seed will already be determined. So, any promotion would have to depend solely on the "thrill" of playing Ole Miss. That's not likely to draw much of a crowd that wasn't already going.
