bama's on a great run, but 99% of the other 118 teams in cfb would trade places with us.
do you really care about the chik fil a bowl? even had we won it? LSU got screwed in the bowls this yr so the SEC could protect UGA and their school with the heisman winner. it produced a game in a bowl no one cared about. except maybe for clemson.

You keep ignoring the fact that this is one player.
You are saying the whole team is basically lazy and it is Les' fault. It was one player.
An anomaly, they exist. You turn around and insult everyone who disagrees with you, making yourself look even more stupid.

no i'll go so far is to say he's not the anomaly for doing it, he's the anomaly for admitting it.
but an anomaly compared to all of cfb not just LSU. most players on every team, yes even bama players, are guilty of this.

This is what I meant. I said as much earlier in the thread and he completely ignored it. Because it is right, and he doesn't want to be proved wrong.

tigerlee, bama's success is as much a result of the failure of other programs IN THE CLUTCH. last yr. LSU should have beat them easily and miles/chavis blew it. also, oregon should have scored more than 14 points (including overtime) on a very good stanford team. the prior yr. okie state lost their basketball team in a airplane crash and then lost to a WEAK opponent on a missed field goal. bama should not have been in either title game. i give them credit for being in a position to capitalize on the MISTAKES of other teams/coaches. but, its not like they dominated everyone the prior 2 years. we were as good as they were each year. BUT, they won and thats all that counts in the end. BUT, they not some super dynasty as you portray them.

The only thing I've portrayed is that bama has won 3 out of the past 4 NCs and that many of our fans have a habit of making excuses which you knocked outa park from your first sentence to the last.

why is it never acceptable for LSU to fail ever? why is miles always accountable but saban isn't? i know "3 outta 4" is a familiar refrain. not as big as the multi platinum hit "1/9" but it's up there.

is perspective not what separates a reasonable person from a unreasonable person? is it not the definer of one's reality? you've created a reality where if LSU is not perfect then you hate their coach. you've also created a reality where where everyone else gets credit but Miles when something good happens but no one else but miles receives blame when something bad happens. but i knw, you don't hate the guy.
in your reality how many NC's does Miles have to win for you to be happy? how many turns the tide (no pun intended) from the current unacceptable state of the program into an acceptable one? 1 more? 3 more? more than saban?

Yeah, I kinda feel that way when a "lets blame someone else" subject like this pops up.
Montgomery gets the blame for his own actions and I really don't see how any reasonable/sane person would try to excuse his actions by pushing blame to anyone else.

btw you can certainly turn anything i say into "well sorry you don't expect excellence from your program" or "sorry you don't strive to be the best" but that's a cop out and a ridiculous attitude.
i just don't get how people treat LSU and bama like they're the only two teams in cfb and the " if you're not first, you're last" mentality.
i give kudos to bama for what they've accomplished. and i definitely want to be the team that wins 3 out of 4. but it's not all or nothing for me. it just seems like recipe for misery especially for a fan. i understand if you're a player or a coach.

but that's not what i'm saying and i think you know that.
i give bama all the credit in the world for taking advantage of their fortune. LSU did so in 03 and 07 and they're champions for it.
LSU won the SEC a little more than a calendar yr ago. they'll be there again. i hope its ok to consider that a good thing.
