Why would they move all the way down to D-2. They would go down to FCS. There is a difference.

so this means the Sun Belt champ deserves a seat at the dance EVERY YEAR over the #2 team from the SEC, Big 10, Pac whatever number they are now, etc.? I know it is possible some of those teams could get an at-large bid, but surely you see the flaw in your scenario...
