This is a tough one... I actually think the P30 is a better gun, but not 2 times better then then Glock to justify the cost, therefore Glock wins. The Sig vs. M&P was though for me to, but I gotta give the 226 the slight edge.

Damn, I agree with EVERYTHING you just said...I still may vote for the P30 though since it doesn't say best value.

I had a similar thought process, but I ended up deciding that cost really shouldn't matter in this tournament. A better gun is a better gun.

George Mason doesn't automatically beat Duke in the tournament because they spend 1/3 less money on basketball just to get in the same tournament.

ETA: and my reason for not picking the Nighthawk is because I don't like 1911's in 9mm. I think they're gimmicks. 1911's should be in .45 or 10 mm.
