Yes he should.

But he won't.

Capology has grown increasingly complex. It's not the sport and I don't really like that we have to discuss it so much. The fact is that it is as vital as on the field performance to continued success for a NFL team though. What irks me is that the guys paid to write about it have so little understanding. Like frick, we get down to the brass tacks of contracts, bonuses, and the like more here than you'll find from fulltime NFL correspondents. Lazy journalism coupled with espn's tmz-like everything but the sport itself coverage keeps the public ignant.

Noone is saying Brady is making scraps but he is making way less than market value would dictate regardless of guarantees

That money was 99 percent guaranteed anyway because hes Tom Frickin Brady.

Peyton Manning says hi.

All it takes is a bad enough injury and you get cut because you cost too much and a younger guy comes in.

Brady didn't restructure. It's just a contract extension. Essentially a 3-year deal that starts in 2015 after his current one expires. He'll be age 38-40 during the contract making 9 mil a year. Don't see how it should send a message to Brees about anything. The 2 situations aren't remotely close. Brady didn't sign that extension to help the patriots. He's trying to make some money in what will probably be the twilight of his career. Good move for him to sign the extension now before his skills diminish.

Brady has done extensions and restructured deals his whole career to stop the cap from going to high.

Yes he gets paid a lot and yes these type extensions give the player more guaranteed money, but he has done this his whole career. Brees wouldn't sign an extension for two years, then held out for the most money at the end. Fact.

Congrats, you found the 1 percent.

And Peyton wasnt hurting to find a job after he was released. If Luck didnt fall into their lap and be such a huge talent, Peyton would still be in Indy
