There's one in the next town over that shows a double feature of first run movies for $5 an adult, it's awesome. The guy who does the movie hotline is unintentionally hilarious.

I had a good time when I went to one in Virginia back in college when I worked in DC for a summer.
A big group of us went and had a blast. American Pie and Blair Witch double feature so it was perfect with a big group. Mostly college kids.
But I went to one outside of Baltimore with my wife a couple of years ago because she had never been to one and it was a pretty trashy crowd that kind of ruined the experience. The Russell Crowe Robin Hood was one and don't even remember what the second movie was.
Here's a good site that lists every operating drive in by state if you want to find one nearby.
