thats the crazy thing, your more likely to get by playing halfassed than by going full throttle.

To be fair, those were probably the Towson weeks.

Doesn't change a thing. Anyone watching the games could see that multiple players didn't give 100% this year against inferior talent.

Unfortunately these guys seemed to live for the prime time games and didn't care too much for the rest. It was obvious, this isn't new information

Why are we shocked about this? Don't we say things like "it's hard for the players to get up for this opponent" when we don't blow out north texas?

LOL. It's funny to me that many people are so shocked by this. Players do it all the time and he's just one of the crazy ones to tell on himself.

And the people that are shocked act like this doesn't go on everywhere.

In the thread yesterday they tried your say that this wouldn't happen with saban.

I asked them what happened with Ulm, uab, Utah, Georgia Southern? But didnt get any replies.

It's human nature especially for young men 18 to 22 years old.

We aren't shocked, but it shouldn't be hard to get up for North Texas in the opening game of the year. There are players on teams who don't do this with the regularity some of ours did.

Sam didn't hurt himself in the fans eyes, but he certainly didn't do himself any PR favors in the football world, and probably didn't do something appreciated by his former teammates.

It was epidemic this year. Last year it wasn't nearly the problem. This team didn't have the leadership or the effort the past one did.

no les didnt give his all every game.. but that is not the point. it shows teams character issues.. he didnt just take off plays here and there. he said he looked at some weeks like there wasnt even a game. didnt prepare. thats a character issue when you cant even give your all for a school that is giving you a FREE education, and getting you to the nfl to make millions. cant make excuses for kids to not give their all for this university... trust me a lot of people put out a lot lot lot of money for this school and to watch these guys play.

Jesus Pete!!! This again?

I am assuming that you are under some Pollyanna delusion that every player gives it his maximum effort on every play of every game, Right?

Are you this naive or just trying to stir up shite? How old are you and under what rock do you live? Grow up.

it is normal, to not get up for the games and show up flat.. understood...

BUT. it is not normal to not even prepare for the game, in the week leading up to it, to miss workouts regularly, and to not give a shite.

and that to me is someone who wasted a scholarship that someone would have killed to have. and i honestly believe the same can be said for about 5-6 guys on this team.

totally agree. fans don't get up as much for the towson's and the idaho's, do they actually expect the players to?

I agree with that, but I think last year had a bit to do with this years attitude.

Should charge half price tickets for Towson St, NSU type games. I can't stand watching that garbage because everyone plays like garbage and he just proved what I see every time they play one of these type schools.

i've said all along when LSU plays these runt teams, play the 2nd teamers more then the 1st. no need to risk injury in a small game and get the other players ready for the future.

i'd probably backups 80% of the time for the small games. especially on defense or starting RB's.

These are games where the more talented team thinks they just need to show up. How often do we hear people say that?

What about players in the pros in their contract years? Where's the outrage over that?
