They are two bands to me: pre-Document, and post-LRP. The first is possibly my favorite band of all time. The second I don't really care about other than a handfull of songs.

I'm sort of this way except I considered the IRS Records REM and the Warner Bros REM. I still think Green is an excellent album. Out of time should be scratched from their discography even though I see their purpose behind it. I'd say Automatic is a great too adn I didn't bother so much with Monster.

I did a few years back get into Reveal and think it's ok. But I'll just stick with their early stuff.
