If it hasn't been posted before, it's some great reading material. Basically it includes:

1. A&M fans using the typical swamp kitten, toothless, Katrina jokes.
2. Tony Brown is nothing but a camp warrior, and isn't worthy of his 5* status.
3. Tony Brown is 3rd or 4th on A&Ms board for DBs
4. A&M "stole" Noel Ellis from LSU, and we will regret the day we let him leave the state, especially when he is "housing" punts and INTS against LSU

So basically:

A) Tony Brown isn't a good prospect because A&M doesn't have him as a priority and didn't have a full offer from A&M
B) Noel Ellis will be a BEAST even though.. he didn't have an offer from LSU

The delusion is strong over there. If Noel Ellis does ever do anything against LSU, you can bank that they'll show up over here to brag, regardless of the outcome of the game.

I'd be butthurt too if I lost two of not only the top DBs in my state but in the country.

1. Well, I guess we'll continue with the ghey jokes about A&M.
2.
3. According to Rivals, they have offered 7 CBs. Brown, Adoree Jackson, Cedric Collins (A&M commit), Chris Hardeman (LSU commit), Nick Watkins, Quincy Wilson, and Jermaine Roberts. 4 of those guys are Texas guys (including Hardeman). Essentially, they are asserting that they'd rather have just about any of the other 5 (excluding Hardeman - who is a lock to LSU).
4. Not sure how a team can "steal" a recruit from another who hasn't extended an offer.

Good god they're delusional. Took them only 5 posts to mention Texas and another 5 to start throwing out swamp people jokes.

Although this is par for the course for them

meh. You guys get too worked up over silly stuff. The same sorts of arguments were posted about RSJ once you lost him. The truth is there is a legitimate concern with both kids about whether their athleticism will translate to the football field down the line. Both are such elite athletes though that you take them and coach them up and hope it does.

But if you look at either's film you don't see an elite high school football player. You see an elite athlete playing high school football. And frankly there is nothing wrong with that as that's why you have coaches. Even if they never develop great football instincts, they will be good college players just on raw athleticism alone. And if they do develop them, they are freakish talents.

I hate all other fan bases, but I'd like to point out that there were zero Katrina jokes in that thread. One guy mentioned players that were Katrina refugees, but that was it.

I mistakenly put him on the spot in front of the Bama Recruiters!!! I told him,"Tony, them LSU fans will hunt you down If they find out you were here!" He laughed and said yea i know they hunted me down when they heard I went to Texas' Jr. Day!

***the Bama recruiter asked him if he wanted to go outside and cover their receivers he said I didn't want to seem to obvious but ill be covering them next year! Recruiter swallowed and nervously said I hope you mean after you commit here then you can cover them everyday...Tony just laughed with no response!(mind you all this took place after our convo...read into that what you want, I was loving it though! You should have seen the Bama recruiter squirm...priceless

FYI: Tony now holds the National 55 meter hurdle record! Has his sights set on breaking the national outdoor record

Congrats in tony brown, but we'll just take 4-5 DBs we like better than Paris anyways.

And RSJ is far from the only player we got that's more than good enough to play for lsu. How about kyrion Parker, Justin manning, and Isaiah golden? Did you conveniently forget about them?

quote:

Texas top two players? Really? Since when are you guys getting hoza Scott and nick Harvey? Last I checked, A&M has about 4-5 DBS we like better than Edward Paris. He's a good player, but severely overrated. Even lsu will tell you he didn't progress as much as they were hoping.
