Props to Redbox and whoever stocks them (apparently when they get new games differs between locations), but a lot of the NOLA/Metry locations have it in stock and I just picked up a PS3 copy (my laptop isn't master-racist enough to play it). Installing now, may play an hour or so but likely will wait until morning. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss out so got it while I was awake.

Impressions after an hour (spoiler free):
Obviously the outdoor parts of the game you've seen are beautiful, but the first indoor part you get to, with the accompanying music, is amazing. The music the whole way through has been great/catchy. Based on what has happened so far, the game is going to touch on much racier subjects than the first (and I assume the second as well, I don't even remember what that one was about). Actually, it already has, even this early in the game. Combat/"vigors" (plasmids) are pretty much same old story, but have been in more open areas than anything from the original, which is a nice change. You'll recognize some of the voice actors from the first one. I kind of panicked/struggled when given the first decision to make, but I don't think most people will. Felt bad after making the choice.
And I didn't get that Machinima picture that says "It's like Bioshock, with guns", but I think I do now. Ammo is plentiful early on, whereas at the beginning of the first, you were kind of stuck using the wrench fairly often. The biggest change I can see with the game is, at least so far, there's no hacking. I know a lot of people hated that in the first two.
