I never said they have no shot but if anyone says the Thunder would be favored they don't know basketball.

I don't think anyone is claiming that

Well, shite. I think I did.

I should have just quoted the bottom part. I think the maturation of Green and Leonard will be the difference.

I think he remembers the insane amount of Spurs fans we had on here last year in the playoffs when they opened 10-0, and had the 2-0 lead on OKC.

The spurs are always the best regular season team, but then they crumble in the playoffs. Wouldn't mind seeing them in the finals though, I love the way they play.

How do they crumble in the playoffs? Just because of hte last 2 seasons?

Manu got hurt before the Grizzlies series, and came back in Game 2, but never was right.

Last year, they started the playoffs 10-0 before losing to the Thunder in the WCF, when James Harden went nuts.

Not exactly crumbling in the playoffs.

Absolutely. Hilarious what people on MSB and national talking heads were saying last year when Spurs had won all their playoff games while going up 2-0 on the Thunder.

Well crumble might have been a little harsh. But they definitely didn't live up to expectations.

This is all moot unless one of the big 3 on the heat get hurt or lebron decides to not play again

Spurs have a Big 3 too, you know. They also have the NBA's best coach.

The Spurs have an Old Big 3 though. Wade, Bosh, and LeBron will give you more at that point in the season than Parker, Manu, and Duncan.

No argument here. Would be interesting to see what the games best coach does with the games best player.

The Spurs have the same problem this year they had last year. They're depth is great for the regular season, but it doesn't help in the playoffs. It's easy to be a better team than OKC when KD is only playing 36m a night, and his back up is a significant drop in talent. But in the playoffs he's playing 44 a night and the talent gap between him and the counter on the Spurs is significant.

That's why OKC will beat the Spurs. The Spurs are a great regular season team because their 6-9 guys are really good for 6-10 guys, but in the playoffs, when you're only playing 8 guys and your top 5 guys play like 85% of the minutes, it takes a different team structure to be successful.

Heck, the Bulls share the ball just as much as the Spurs do, but they don't have the talent to consistently produce offensively.

Was it so crazy to think they were good after going through that stretch???

That was pretty impressive
