You putting them in the ground as a garden, or just a couple in pots? Or some type of raised bed?
Do it today, and just cover if you think there's gonna be a frost. Go to Clegg's and get a couple different varieties. See which ones grow best. If you are only doing it to have a couple for sandwiches and such you can get the wire baskets to put over them so you don't have to worry about tying them up every other day.
