I am saying that you don't have to drop $1200+ to build a gaming PC. You can if you want but you don't have to.
Also, sure you can find new stuff less than a year later you COULD upgrade to but it's not necessary. By your premise of a PC being out of date so fast in the tech world where do you think an 8 year old console stands?
I am also saying the "boom" one of your Sgts put on the guy about spending $1500 on a PC = $500 per year just to game is stupid considering the vast other things you use a PC for.
