Mother frickin' Dion and the Belmonts - Run Around Sue
If you haven't switched the party over to rap yet, this is an excellent and unique way to set the party off.
I'll usually go with this, transition into a Motown song or two then make the complete switch to the rap by blasting Ignition (remix)
From then on, it's a dangerous cocktail of Cash Money / Wayne / Hot Boyz / Dj Jubilee to keep the party going.
Eta: This strategy has a target audience of 20 - 28 year olds. Maybe it can be stretched to 18 and 19 year old girls if they are cultured/plastered.
Eta 2: ShamaLama Ding Dong is my lead up to Run Around Sue.
I've now said too much.
