Jenkins looked primed after a solid 2010. Many from nothing to do with the Saints were touting him as an up & coming All Pro. He regressed in 2011, then fell off the cliff last year. Cuz he's relatively cheap in the last year of his rookie deal he'll be back again. Whether him or IAQ I'll have to trust that the best man plays. The Jenkins back to CB is interesting but I'll be surprised if we'd see it.

Harper really isn't terrible. By no means elite but prolly above average in his total game for SS's. Williams and I hope Ryan make the best use of his skillset. The bigger beef is just how much cap he is sucking. I wouldn't blink if he was cut. If renegotiated, I just hope the pay grade lines up with his performance level closer.

Harper will excel in RR's scheme, but is he worth the money. He is a very good run stopper and blitzer, but he sucks in coverage.

While I don't think Harper is nearly worth what he is getting, I think Jenkins is our main problem. With a down hill thumper like Harper at SS, you really need a ball-hawking FS to make up some of the things Harper lacks. Ex. Darren Sharper.

Yeah, future Hall of Famers tend to cover up deficiencies elsewhere.

While that was a GREAT play, what he said was absolutely correct. IIRC, Jenkins was on pace before he got hurt to have the most missed tackles in one season ever.

If we address the S position, do it in the 4th or 5th round with a guy like TJ McDonald or Tony Jefferson.

TJ McDonald would be sweet in the 4 or 5 Round!
