Is it against the rules to have a former player as my sig pic?

I have a picture of a former player, just went pro, and he was out of town but he's holding up a note that's directed to me.
Can I post that as my sig pic or is it against the rules? Didn't know if it broke some sort of confidentiality thing or whatever.
Chicken, is that ok? It's not distasteful or anything.
