Prior to the 2007-08 season, Jerry Buss invited Kobe Bryant to his home and warned he had a deal to send the Los Angeles Lakers' star to the Detroit Pistons -- a team that wasn't one of Bryant's preferred destinations as part of his trade demand.
Bryant then realized he didn't want to waive his no-trade clause to leave the Lakers and, most importantly, his owner.
"It hit me that I didn't really want to walk out on Dr. Buss," Bryant said Monday.
The Pistons' package for Bryant included a combination of their core players and draft picks, according to sources.

More likely it hit Kobe that he didn't want to move to fricking Detroit.

Aside from this one, I'll set the O/U on number of posts in this thread before Lebron is mentioned at 6.5

I'm sure kobe didn't demand a trade back then because of his lackluster talent around him at the time

Lebron dumped his team.
Kobe stuck with his team.
Kobe > Lebron

How?
Kobe might have been unprofessional by talking shite about teammates but he didn't leave the franchise.

He just threatened to leave multiple times. When did Lebron do that while under contract?

LeBron actually left.
Kobe couldn't have just left under contract and joined another team. I mean really?

Lebron didn't bitch and moan like Kobe about his shitty roster. Instead, he just led them to the finals.
Once he was a FREE AGENT, he left.
