I like Die Hard, but I don't disagree with his assessment that basically the other cops were all idiots. I've always thought it must have been written by a beat cop or the son of a beat cop maybe, because aside from McLane, McLane's wife, Powell and Hans everyone else, the Deputy Chief, the FBI, the media are all total morons.
