I just took delivery of a 2012 ford F250 with the 6.7L diesel but have yet to tow with it but it will tow anything you can hook to it. As others have said i would stay with at least a 1/2 ton pickup as a 22-24ft bay boat will weigh in the neighborhood of 3500 LBS on the trailer loaded with gas, ice etc.

3/4 ton duramax here. But as others have said pretty much any SUV or truck with v8 will do the trick. Would avoid light weight trucks with v6 like tacomas and dakotas etc, boats just to big and hard to control in emergency situations. Will say though with some v8 trucks, and I have had one, you're going to get single digit mpg's if they are not set up properly.
