Someone explain The Apparition to me. (Spoilers)

So they summoned a ghost (demon) that can follow them anywhere and do anything? What chance do they have? I hate moves that give the protagonists no way out or make the villian too powerful.

So what happened to the chick at the end? Did she get tied up into so goul orgy?

What a confusing movie.
