Gotta start this one off with one of the greatest ever, Mr. Frank Sinatra
Another good and more underrated example is Jason Schwartzman. His band Coconut Records is surprisingly pretty damn good.
Obviously there are tons of more examples but I'll let people share theirs.

Christopher Lee
Rick Moranis
Steven Seagal
Yes I'm serious, these are all awesome. Especially Christopher Lee's metal album.

I don't know if I have a favorite, but I'm a big Coheed and Cambrian fan, and they're turning their comic book series (which are the album concepts) into a movie soon. I'm very excited about it but a little nervous

As for Rhianna, I don't care for her music and after watching her in Battleship I can't see how she'd even get a role in a local used car lot commercial, her acting is that terrible.

is this just for those who were in music first or do the ones who were acting then crossed to singing?

quote:Wahlberg seems to latch his name onto some pretty successful endeavors. I'm looking forward to it and even if it's a huge crock of shite, I'll probably still go see it.

Kris Kristofferson
Bette Midler
Pia Zadora (Yes, she released an album of Standards, which didn't really suck)
Oh, and there's this guy y'all may have heard of named Elvis Presley.

George Strait was riveting in Pure Country. Sadly it appears he has given up acting since then. Must have been the Oscar snub.
