Jabarkus, taking into account your non-specialized degrees, I think you need to focus your energy on landing a government job. Many government jobs do not care about your area of study, and they will provide you with work experience and benefits to allow you to eventually move up the ladder.

Being in St. Tammany, you're actually in a decent situation because you can peruse both the Mississippi and Louisiana Civil Services.

Investigate the [link=(MS State Personnel Board)]https://www.mspb.ms.gov/[/link] and the [link=(Louisiana Civil Service)]https://www.civilservice.louisiana.gov/[/link] websites.

Just a warning, though. If you're not already familiar with the way state government works, it can be a VERY long process from applying, to getting called for an interview, to being offered a job. So it's best that you have some other irons in the fire while you do this.
