I've done good, I haven't bought gems in a long time. Lucky right now I can get 1-2million a day so it takes me a couple/few days to earn enough to upgrade something.

i have 4, i feel like it's too late for me to get the 5th. i wouldn't be able to keep them all busy unless i bought gold

Yeah of I had iTunes cards others have me I would use to buy gems to get my storage a full for my builders. I've been rolling with 4 builders and only recently did it become a problem as I maxed out my elixir and I didn't have a builder for a day.

actually as the further i've upgraded, i've found it easier to keep all 5 working.
because it takes me at least 5 days, sometimes 9+ to upgrade just about anything. so just keep the builders spread out and you'll have 2-3 days apart where every builder is busy and you can save up for the next free builder.

i could finish upgrading all my pumps and mines to lvl 11 if i had a 5th builder, but i wouldn't have enough gold to keep him busy on defenses

yeah i would need to adjust my builders. right now they are too close together. 1 or 2 days between all of them

Everything I'm upgrading takes 7+ right now so all 4 stay busy, I always have full storage to upgrade when one becomes available

the 5th might be a waste of 2000 gems
i think ive decided to spend my gems on upgrading either the BK or AQ. which do yall think would be better to upgrade?
i would spend the gems on just the DE not speeding up the actual upgrade

I would use gems to keep storage a full when you need them so that builders are always building something.

don't use gems for anything other than a builder when you first start; buy a builder

Well, they don't give you enough gems to buy another builder at the start...
