uventus doesn't play that quick. Don't know why you think they did, maybe it's because you've seen very little soccer.
My first soccer match to attend was a few weeks ago with USA and Canada It was painful to watch That may explain it lol

Is there a large gap between Juventus and say Everton?
Juventus is better than Everton by a significant margin. Many think Juve may be the strongest after Barca and Bayern right now. Not sure I agree with that but it's a different plateau than Everton to say the least. People are thinking you're trolling because there's a lot fans of EPL teams who never watch Serie A and also 100% buy the English media stereotypes of the league which are generally the exact opposite of what you've witnessed. In the past the league has been much more defensively oriented than other top leagues but that's really been changing (for better or worse) rapidly the past couple of years. Right now, more of the top Serie A sides are paying more open attacking styles than ever: Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina, Inter, Milan I'd actually say that Juventus and Lazio are probably the more "conservative" of the top teams though Juventus with Pirlo simply has some of the most elegant build-up play you'll see. You'll get a lot of argument about which league is better but, in the end, Serie A, La Liga, EPL, Bundesliga are all pretty close with the differences in strength being more cyclical than anything else.

Serie A does have the closest race in major European action right now (five points between Juve and Napoli). It's good soccer. You can find some teams that hit on the counter better than anyone on the planet. I'd say it's fourth right now in terms of power, but this season has been so freaking weird and top-heavy everywhere...it's hard to get a clear picture.

wm72 will always give you great answers, especially about Italy. Others will just assume you are trolling because its obvious to tell your soccer knowledge is limited.

My soccer iq is very low and im trying to pick it up slowly All i know is while watching Juventus play saturday, i was glued to the tv Those guys knew what the hell was going on and it made me realize how far the mens us team has to go to look like a real team. Maybe im asking something crazy though as international guys dont get to play in the us with each other hardly ever

It's not really fair to compare the USMNT to Juve or the other absolutely elite club teams, especially the mainly younger and fringe players that played in the friendly against Canada. It's not usual that even the best national teams look quite as fluid as the best club teams. However, the US doesn't have a player that could crack Juve's first team even though we do have some players like Dempsey, Bradley, Donovan and Howard that are pretty close to that level. There's a lot of threads here discussing the US team but suffice it to say that right now there's a lot of questions about Klinsmann's ability to get the tactics right to have the team play a bit more fluidly/effectively than they did against Honduras.

Juve only has 3 at the back and Conte demands a solid work ethic, as a result the games move faster than what many claim. Solid striker away from dominating serie a without a breaking a sweat.

how has the thread title not been corrected yet? surely he's been educated enough to this point to know that it is the Serie A. if it is merely a typo, it is annoying as hell.

i would say Serie A is the 2nd best league right now. La Liga falls off too hard after Real/Barca IMO. EPL Serie A La Liga Bundesliga thats how they are ordered on Football Manager 13 as well in terms of league power rankings

Someone's forgetting about Atletico, who has been better than Real in league play this year...and Malaga, who is in the Round of 16. Without making this a complete league-peen measuring contest, I'm going to go with this. 1A. La Liga 1B. EPL 2. Bundesliga 3. Serie A 4. Ligue 1 97. SPL La Liga would be a smidge above EPL, but not enough to knock the EPL down to 2nd.

not sure what "league power rankings" you are talking about, but the UEFA coefficients for the 12/13 season are as follows: La Liga- 13.857 with 6/7 clubs remaining Bundesliga- 13.357 with 7/7 clubs remaining EPL- 11.142 with 6/7 clubs remaining Serie A- 10.750 with 5/6 clubs remaining Ligue 1- 10.083 with 3/6 clubs remaining If you add up the single season coefficients from the 08/09 season until now it is: La Liga- 84.168 EPL- 77.677 Bundesliga- 75.043 Serie A- 60.481 Ligue 1- 57.333

This seems like a better judge of power.

I agree. next season it looks like the EPL will lose its 2.4 point advantage over the bundesliga from 08/09 season on top of it's current 2.2 point disadvantage that is subject to change in either direction this year. The British football pundits would lose their mind if they were ranked the 3rd best league in Europe. It would be like that redneck guy who lives down the road from you and chants "SEC" finding out that Alabama lost to ND in the BCSNCG
