Malik Morgan's siblings are good at basketball (links inside)

Kolby Morgan, jr at Curtis, scored 35 to lead her team to victory over Riverside. Not sure if we're recruiting her, but I can't imagine why we wouldn't be.

Kolby Morgan and Tia Charles led the way as the Patriots defeated Riverside 65-50 to win the District 10-2A championship.

Morgan finished with 35 points and three steals and Charles added 21 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Patriots.

“We had to push our fast breaks when we had them,” Morgan said. “We had to stop (Riverside forward Kendra Turner) on the inside too. Tia and I think alike on fast breaks. We know that the other person is always going to be right there to help you.”

Little brother Kai, 8th grade, led all scorers in the boys game against Riverside and also collected 6 boards. I imagine he's on the radar for us as well.

He said that added a little extra motivation to an already important game.

“I just knew I had to come with it too,” he said. “If (the girls) won, then we had to go out and win too. We had to give the crowd a good performance.”
