He still looked OLD in college. He was pretty good then. But yes he has had some bad breaks. But I hope he goes to Cleveland and does well. But THE NBA was ALREADY changing when he was coming out. THE NBA NOW is about more athletes. ODEN is NOT one. Just sayin.

Picking a bit of a nit here, but Bowie is a terrible guy to cite as a bust.
Darko makes more sense; he played a similar number of NBA games to Bowie, was drafted #2 and had half as many points, steals, rebounds, and 300 fewer blocks.

If they sign him for anything above league minimum I'll blow a gasket and I'm not a Cleveland fan or much of a NBA fan anymore.
$300K just for being 6'11 is some real world bull shite. That guy has to prove he can play and be healthy enough to at least make it through a season before warranting another guaranteed contract.
