Test drove an 09 silverado yesterday

Is there gonna be a very noticeable difference in the ride? I've always driven cars and am used to a smoother ride. Curious if this is a cause for concern or what's to be expected. Our roads up here are awful too.

From what? A car? Yes. Trucks ride differently. If it doesn't, you're not in a real truck.

What model in particular?
New half ton trucks ride very well, but a 3/4 ton chevy is going to ride like a log truck if you don't have a load in it.
