Hey Omegaman, about whether he's the next Shaq or next Tuba, I think the end result will be somewhere in between. Maybe not a lottery pick but someone who can develop into a solid player that provides quality minutes in the post.
Watching his film, I was pretty encouraged. He's not just a tall stiff recruited for his height. He seemed legitimately athletic, skilled and fluid. He can finish around the rim with an emphatic dunk (video I saw had him doing a reverse dunk in a game), has a nice mid-range jumper and seems that he can run the floor well.
Keep in mind he's part of a class that has higher profile guys like Martin, Mickey and Quarterman. In other words, he doesn't have to be a superstar or big scorer. Instead, if he can just score a few baskets, grab some rebounds, block/alter some shots and be a solid low-post presence, he's a great complementary piece to the other talent that will be on hand. I'm intrigued and optimistic about this kid's potential.
