LSU Coach Les Miles addressed the subtle, but looming, specter of potential coaching staff changes in his signing day address to the media Wednesday. As expected, he didn't say much and instead sang the praises of his staff for their efforts on the recruiting trail in signing a 27-member class.

Coach Les Miles said he hasn't thought about reshuffling his coaching staff.

At the same time, he didn't rule anything out.

"I haven't given much thought to changes in this staff at this point," he said. "I thought the staff did a great job (recruiting). We did as much team recruiting as we've ever done. (Defensive coordinator) John Chavis was involved with all defensive players, (offensive coordinator) Coach (Greg) Studrawa ran to be involved with a number of offensive linemen across the country.

"(Running backs coach and recruiting coordinator) Frank Wilson is invaluable, a tremendous communicator and a guy that makes himself understood to both prospects and parents. This staff is in many ways a staff class, a staff that put it in and went after it. If there was a deficit, somebody else stepped up."

Rumors have swirled recently about Miles possibly shuffling the staff by hiring his friend, Cam Cameron, as offensive coordinator. The two served together for seven seasons (1987-93) on the Michigan coaching staff. Cameron was dismissed by the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens in mid-season.

It doesn't take much thought to call up an old friend and say, "Why don't you come down here and coach the offense. What's that? Pay? Yeah, we'll pay you. Sounds good? Great! See you soon."

Tells you all you need to know right there. Studs was primarily involved in OL recruiting.

Must be weird to be an offensive recruit and not deal too much with the OC in home

When I heard Miles' comments yesterday, it gave me everything I needed to know that he was going to make a move. If he wasn't looking to change someone out, he would have flat out said no.
