I learned about this show after committing to see Rebirth at Howlin' Wolf that same night. Damn you Nola and your abundance of incredible live music!!!

Rebirth will be awesome too.

Im almost more excited for nms than funky meters.

Nms is like what the meters sounded like in their prime.

NMS are kickass, but the Meters even the funky meters are the tits!

Hope you get: Fire on the Bayou, Just Kissed My Baby & a blistering Aint No Use.

Went to the Nevilles show at Tips a few weeks ago (no longer the "Brothers" since Aaron departed). They put on a hell of a show. At 75, Art kicks arse. Funky Meters show should be just as good.

My first time ever at Tipitina's I saw the Meters. It was 1980. They opened with their rendition of Birdland. Great show!

Roll Call for tonight?

I'm hopping in the car and heading in for 3 hours of work and I'm off till Wednesday. Then home for a little nap, gather some supplies and head uptown for the parades and the concert.

Should be a great 5 days

I think so, check tipitinas.com.

Also that was my first name choice when I signed up, I was only about 5 years late. Probably my favorite series on TV
